1.品种和选择地块。
在选择品种的时候，应该根据当地的气候条件进行习惯性地选择种植的地区，最好是地势平坦，土壤肥沃，水资源比较好的地区。
2.整地施肥。
要把土壤升分后不要着急压平，先让土壤在阳光下暴晒一个星期左右，把土壤中的细菌和寄生虫杀掉，然后再使用底肥，根据实际情况来使用底肥的量，要使用中份，腐熟的农家肥可以搭配。磷钾钙等营养元素等到洋葱长出幼苗之后，可以进行第1次追肥，主要使用氮肥，氮肥可以有效提高幼苗的生长速度。
3.播种定植
真正的播种时间是要保证幼苗正常的生长，播种的时间不当会导致洋葱生长受限，产量和品质不符，南方种植可以选择在9月中旬根据洋葱的树苗情况合理的控制播种，等到幼苗出土之后，及时的检查补苗，等到差不多的时候就可以进行定植长势比较弱，生长过旺的苗挑出来，根据实际情况进行定植在一起方便后期管理。
4.田间管理。
土壤要在昼化夜冻的时候浇封冻水防止冻害。3月下旬4月初的时候，结合追肥进行浇返青水。一亩地使用30斤的尿素和40斤的硫酸钾复合肥，开始膨大的时候及时浇水，这个时候在一亩地使用20斤的尿素和30斤的硫酸钾复合肥，可以喷施微生物菌肥。
